Mister Sinister Becomes “Farmable” In Marvel Strike Force

Marvel Strike Force (MSF) Semi-Weekly Dossier: June 8th, 2020

In their weekly blog updates (usually taking place each Friday), and as part of their effort to continue to make more characters “farmable” in Marvel Strike Force (MSF), FoxNext/Scopely revealed a rather “bombshell”-level announcement: specifically, that us players would be able to access shards of Mister Sinister through the War store.

This came as a bit of a surprise, as most people presumed that Sinister would get the Minnerva and/or Yo-Yo treatment: being available only through the pathetic odds of the Mega, Premium, or Basic orbs, or only being available to purchase in the Supplies store for the ridiculous price of 450 cores for 5 shards.

After a character release that didn’t really involve a ton of fanfare or buzz, Sinister has quickly been recognized as a “God-tier” character, thanks to his ability to clone a member of the opposing team, grant that clone Defense Up for 2 turns, and generate ability energy for that clone.

Now, the downside to this news is the fact that the shards are accessible primarily or directly through the War store — a channel with a notoriously fickle RNG, and a crowded top row of other farmable characters (which already includes…
